Retreat for married couples Oct. 18-20

A three-day retreat for married couples is scheduled Oct. 18-20 at Camp Bethel Conference Center in Botetourt County. It will be led by Eleanor and Gerald Roller, certified leaders in the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment.

This is the 21st year the Rollers have led the nonsectarian retreat, which has limited enrollment. Marriage Enrichment is not professional counseling for troubled marriages, but is intended to encourage the sharing of feelings and to educate adults in basic communication skills. The weekend will include sharing in small groups on the topics of communication and handling differences.

Call 343-7994 by Oct. 12 for more information about the retreat or ongoing enrichment groups that meet at several locations in the Roanoke Valley. It is not necessary to attend the retreat to enroll in a monthly sharing group.
