LENGTH: Short : 19 lines
ILLUSTRATION: PHOTO: ALAN KIM/Staff. Why did the caterpillar cross the road?

We'll never know for sure, but we were relieved that this woolly

worm made it safely through the traffic and across Palmer Drive on a

woolly worms crossing roads is a sure sign of a hard winter. Other

people say that the color and width of a woolly worm's bands also

predict how severe the winter will be. color.
