Breast cancer screening Tuesday
BLACKSBURG - Columbia Montgomery Regional Hospital will sponsor a free breast cancer screening from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the hospital's outpatient center.
The screening will be conducted by a doctor or nurse practitioner. Participants will receive a certificate for a $50 screening mammogram.
Free educational materials will be provided by the New River Health District Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.

Giles chamber fall banquet
The Giles County Chamber of Commerce will hold is "Blue Jeans and Banjo" fall banquet at the Rich Creek Community Center at 6 p.m. Thursday .
Tickets are $20 each and are available at the Giles County Chamber of Commerce on Main Street in Pearisburg.

Radford, Pulaski chamber mixers
RADFORD - The Radford and Pulaski County chambers of commerce will have an after-hours mixer at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the New River Media Broadcast Palace on Lee Highway.
The event is hosted by New River Media Group, the Farmhouse Restaurant and Eden's Publishing. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.
