Giles routed Radford 41-7 on Friday night in Pearisburg to clinch at least a tie for the Three Rivers District title.
The Spartans (7-0 overall, 3-0 district) rolled up 481 yards of total offense.
Quarterback Chris Ratcliffe rushed for 244 yards on 18 carries and passed for 54 yards. Ratcliffe ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more.
Shaun Vaught added 129 yards on 14 carries for Giles.
Mike Dunbar led Radford (3-3, 0-1) with 69 yards rushing on 14 carries.
In other games Friday night:
Martinsville 24, Bassett 15: The Bulldogs never led until senior tailback Manti Venable raced 80 yards with 11 minutes remaining, and Martinsville remained unbeaten with a Piedmont District victory over the visiting Bengals.
That put the Bulldogs ahead 16-15 and Venable added a 2-yard touchdown run as Martinsville (6-0, 1-0) held off Bassett (4-3, 1-1).
The Bengals led 15-10 at halftime on touchdown runs of 5 and 10 yards by Carl Watkins, who finished with 28 carries for 161 yards. Bassett intercepted two passes, but missed three field-goal attempts.
Venable, who has scored 13 touchdowns, rushed for 123 yards on 15 carries.
Northside 6, Rockbridge County 0, OT: John Doss ran 7 yards for a touchdown on the Vikings' second play of overtime they edged the visiting Wildcats and took over first place in the Blue Ridge District.
Rockbridge County (3-3, 2-1) had possession first in the extra period, but the Vikings' Travis Clark sacked quarterback Scott Sorrells for an 8-yard loss on first down from the 10. Two incompletions followed before Kevin Kleinchester was short on a 35-yard field-goal attempt.
John McCoy of the Wildcats intercepted a pass at the Northside 30 and returned it to the 1 in the waning moments of regulation. However, a clipping call took Rockbridge County back to the 23. Coach Jamie Talbott then was penalized for being on the field.
The Wildcats drove to the Northside 9-yard line in the second quarter before Doss recovered a fumble to end the threat. Doss rushed for 72 yards in 18 carries for the Vikings (4-2, 2-1), who did not have a pass completion.
Sorrells passed for 182 yards for the Wildcats.
James River 28, Covington 7: Brian LeFlore rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns as the Knights earned a Pioneer District victory over the Cougars in Buchanan.
LeFlore scored on rushes of 13 and 18 yards and on a fumble recovery after a ball rolled into the Cougars' end zone from the 2-yard line. Josh Peck had three receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. Senior linebacker Billy Joe Carter was in on 33 tackles for the Knights.
Grover Price rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries for Covington. The Cougars made things difficult on themselves with five turnovers, four in the first half.
The victory was the first ever for the Knights (3-3, 2-0) over the Cougars (0-6, 0-1) in football.
Auburn 21, Shawsville 6: Willie Shelton ran for one touchdown and passed for another on a halfback-option play as the Eagles shut down the Shawnees in a Three Rivers District battle in Riner.
Auburn (4-3, 1-2) held Shawsville to eight first downs and 65 yards rushing, although the Shawnees (3-3, 0-2) forged a 6-6 halftime tie on a 74-yard pass from Chris Graham to Paul Sink.
Shelton, who carried 21 times for 130 yards, broke the tie on a 58-yard touchdown pass to Mike Bibb.
Gate City 54, Grayson County 6: Jake Houseright and Josh Shoemaker each scored two touchdowns as unbeaten Gate City dominated the Blue Devils in a non-district game in Gate City.
Jeremy Houseright, playing with the second unit, scored once and threw for a touchdown as Gate City (6-0) cruised to a 22-point lead.
Grayson County is 3-3.
Bland County 39, Narrows 12: The Bears (5-2, 2-2) scored on each of their first three possessions in a Mountain Empire District rout of the Green Wave (2-5, 0-2) in Bland.
Most of the damage from the wing-T offense came on the ground, where the Bears piled up 388 yards.
Tailback J.B. Lambert carried only six times, but netted 133 yards. His senior classmate, fullback Keith Bourne, added 131 yards on nine rushes. Quarterback Jon Newberry ran for two touchdowns and passed for one.
Lord Botetourt 51, Alleghany 27: Wesley Cox had 27 carries for 212 yards and five touchdowns as the Cavaliers won a Blue Ridge District game in Low Moor.
Cox scored on runs of 1, 16, 18, 2 and 62 yards as Lord Botetourt rushed for 273 yards and accumulated 446 yards of total offense.
Alleghany (1-5, 0-3) got on the scoreboard first when Jamie Vail gathered in a 1-yard touchdown pass from Shannon Johnson, but it was all Cavaliers the rest of the way
Lord Botetourt (5-1, 2-1) went on an offensive blitzkrieg in the second and third quarters, running up 38 points.
The Mountaineers got a pair of touchdowns from Bryan Carroll and Johnson threw another scoring pass, covering 52 yards to Robert Nicely.
Cavaliers quarterback Seth Myers had a 1-yard touchdown run and had an 82-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Conner.
Bath County 40, Craig County 6: The Chargers amassed 369 yards of total offense, all on the ground, en route to a Pioneer District rout of the Rockets in Hot Springs.
Bath County (4-2, 1-1) held Craig County (0-6, 0-1) to 42 yards of total offense.
Three Chargers running backs - Brian Cauley, Anthony Pusey and Brandon Woodard - scored a pair of touchdowns apiece. Pusey carried 13 times for 124 yards and Woodard gained 114 yards on nine rushes.
Rockets back Jarvis Pauley accounted for 36 of his team's yards.
Rural Retreat 14, Chilhowie 7: James Bear intercepted a pass inside the 1-yard line with 30 seconds remaining to preserve the victory in Rural Retreat as the Indians took over sole possession of first place in the Hogoheegee District.
Rural Retreat (5-1, 2-1) had taken a 14-point halftime lead on touchdown runs of 72 yards and 1 yard by junior Gene Fields, who carried 25 times for 204 yards. Fields went over the 1,000-yard mark for the season.
Chilhowie (5-1, 3-1) scored in the third quarter on a 32-yard run by Charlie Goble, who had 130 yards on 22 carries.
Magna Vista 30, Laurel Park 12: Chad Blackstock rushed 10 times for 93 yards and two touchdowns as the Warriors dominated their Piedmont District opener, beating the Lancers in Martinsville.
Blackstock scored touchdowns on runs of 1 and 15 yards in the first half. Travis Preston carried 19 times for 165 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown run. Magna Vista (6-0) led 30-0 in the third quarter, but gave up two late touchdowns.
First downs for Laurel Park (1-5, 0-1) were rare as the Warriors dominated the line of scrimage. Josh Crabtree scored the only offensive points for the Lancers on a 15-yard pass from Steve Robertson. D.J. Caviness scored the final touchdown of the game on a 70-yard interception return.
Floyd County 25, Carroll County 24: Josh Dalton booted a 24-yard field goal with 5:15 left to give the Buffaloes (4-2) a non-district victory over the Cavaliers (4-3) in Hillsville.
Carroll County drove to the Floyd County 40-yard line after the boot, but Matt Bishop picked off a pass to clinch the victory.
Tony Erchull completed 11 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns, and Nick Wohn rushed for 109 yards to lead Floyd County.
Billy Clougher rushed 25 times for 121 yards for the Cavaliers.
Fieldale-Collinsville 24, Patrick County 3: The Cavaliers prevailed over the Cougars in a Piedmont District defensive struggle in Stuart.
Fieldale-Collinsville (3-3, 1-0) dominated the game in yardage, even though it only held a 7-3 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers amassed 258 yards of total offense to 54 for Patrick County (0-6, 0-2).
Fieldale-Collinsville held running back Junior Penn, who had been averaging more than 200 yards per game, to 42 total yards. Kevin Franklin rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries for the Cavaliers.
Patrick Henry-Glade Spring 36, George Wythe 8: The Rebels rushed for 281 yards in a relatively easy Hogoheegee District victory over the Maroons in Glade Spring.
PH-Glade Spring (6-1, 3-1) held George Wythe (0-7, 0-3) to less than 200 yards total offense. Jason Boswell rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries for the Rebels. Scott Hoover added 75 yards on the ground.
