Two James Madison University students died of gunshot wounds to the head, a medical examiner said Monday.
The two had been dating and had worked at the same restaurant.
Ann Margret Olson, 25, and Keith J. O'Connell, 23, had been dead several hours before the bodies were found Saturday in the bedroom of O'Connell's apartment, according to Harrisonburg police.
Each had been shot twice in the head, said Dr. David Oxley, chief medical examiner for the western region of Virginia.
Lt. Al McDorman said investigators had not determined a motive, but they ``have all kinds of leads that we're hoping will lead us to a suspect.''
The pair had shared a pizza at Spanky's restaurant after finishing work Friday night and left the restaurant about 2 to 2:30 a.m. Saturday, manager Kevin Lombard said.
There was ``no indication whatsoever'' that anything may be wrong when the two left Spanky's, Lombard said.
