JAMES RIVER ROLLS ON

James River took advantage of a huge discrepancy in free throws to rally for a 53-40 victory over Craig County in a Pioneer District game Monday night in New Castle.

Amy Sprinkle scored 19 points to lead the Knights, who made 27 of 50 shots from the line. Julie Firebaugh and Melissa Baker added 10 points each for James River (5-9 overall, 3-2 district), which trailed 17-7 after one quarter.

Sommer Horn had 20 points for the Rockets (1-14, 1-4), who were 13-for-23 from the free-throw line.
