He's seen the movie ``The Chamber'' once, and John Grisham says that was enough.
``I am happy to say that I had nothing to do with the making of `The Chamber,''' Grisham said in an interview from his Charlottesville, Va., home. ``I think it's best if I leave it at that.''
Grisham, a former Mississippi legislator and a part-time resident of Oxford, watched the film last week with his wife, Renee, at a private screening in Charlottesville.
Grisham disassociated himself from the production of the movie, based on his fifth novel, because the script was so different from the book.
He would not say what specific differences he disliked.
Grisham said the filming of his most recent novel, ``The Runaway Jury,'' probably will begin in early 1998 in Biloxi. Joel Schumacher, who directed ``A Time To Kill,'' will be the director. Grisham is working on the script.
He is also busy on his next novel, ``The Partner,'' which he described as ``another story of legal intrigue.'' It is due out March 1.
