CELEBRATIONS - BIRTHS

Basham birth

Victor L and Sheri L. Basham of Roanoke are pleased and proud to announce the birth of their second daughter, Sheralyn Renae Basham. She arrived at 4:34 a.m. on July 27, 1996 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. She weighed 7 lbs. even and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Sheralyn is fortunate to have a very loving and proud big sister, Victoria, age 2 1/2, as well as Clarence and Beverly Lottermoser and Jewel Basham for grandparents.

Special thanks to attending physician Dr. Carl Harms, the excellent nursing staff on 2-West and to Dr. Deborah Clapp, for all their care and help.

Additional thanks to all out wonderful family and friends, for whose help we will be eternally grateful.

Bell birth

Morgan Taylor Bell was born September 13, 1996 at 1:17 p.m. in Lewis Gale Hospital. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 21 inches. Her proud parents are Cameron and Beth Bell.

Hatfield birth

Samuel Howard Hatfield was born on October 2, 1996, at Community Hospital at 8:16 p.m.. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 1/4 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches. long. His parents are Mark Howard Hatfield and Kimberly O'Briant Hatfield. Grandpare nts are Howard and Betty Hatfield of Fort Mill, S. C., and Samuel and Faye O'Briant of Cape Coral, Fla. Dr. Barbara Moore was attending physician.

Karageorge birth

Vasilea Eleni Karageorge was born September 24, 1996, at 5:05 a.m. at Commu nity Hospital. She weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Her proud and thankful parents are Chris and Irene Karageorge. Her paternal grandparents are Steve and Olympia Karageorge and maternal grandparents are Thomas and Konstantia Theodorou from New Castle, Pa. Special thanks to Dr. Donna Musgrave, Physicians to Women Staff, and Community Hospital Staff for helping bring another one of God's children into this world.

Marks birth

Matthew Kohl Ryan Marks was born July 23, 1996 at 1:41 p.m. in Lewis-Gale Hospital. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 1/2 ozs and was 21 inches long. His proud parents are Melissa and Michael Marks of Roanoke. Grandparents are Lee and Kathy Futrell of Roanoke and Jane Marks of West Hartford, Conn., and the late Melvyn Marks. Dr. Mark Gustafson was the attending physician. Thanks to our wonderful nurses!

Robertson birth

Matthew and Ian Roberts on joyfully announce the birth of their brother,

PHILLIP THOMAS ROBERTSON

Phillip was born at Community Hospital, September 27, 1996 at 10:35 pm. He weighed 6 lbs. 11/4 ozs and was 19 1/2 inches long. Proud parents are Deborah and John Robertson of Salem. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Robertson of Salem, Mildred Berry of Roanoke, and the late H. C. Berry. Great-grandfather is Harry Thomas Robertson of Salem. Special thanks to Dr. Alvin Hurt, his staff and all the sixth and seventh floor nurses for delivering our little miracle.

Shell birth

Christine Renee Shell was born September 17, 1996 at 3:48 a.m. at Lewis-Gale Hospital. She weighed 8 lbs. 6 1/2 ozs. and was 21 inches long. Her p oud parents are Michael and Sherri Shell. Equally proud grandparents are Carl and Pat Shell of Vinton and Junior and Rachel Hixon of Christiansburg. Great- grandmothers are Thelma Whitlock and Lorene Shell, both of Roanoke. The entire family thanks God for this precious healthy child.

Sheppard birth

Barry and Pam Sheppard, together with Jocy, announce the arrival of their new daugh ter and sister, Samantha Christine Sheppard. Samantha was born on September 20, 1996 at 10:10 p.m. at Lewis-Gale Hospital. Her proud grandparents are Clarence and Nelva Viers, Terrell and Edna Sheppard, and Jim and Margie Lawrence. Thanks to Dr. Maxymiv for prenatal care and to Dr. Gustafson for delivery. Special thanks to L & D nurses, Ann and Patty for all their help (you were great!) and to the ``Epidural Doc!
