A 19-year-old Wytheville woman died Monday after a single-vehicle accident in the Porters Crossroads section of Wythe County, state police said.
Jaime Wynn Butler apparently lost control of her car on Virginia 94 about 3:20 p.m.
Her car ran off the right side of the road, then veered back to the left and to the right again. Butler's car then hit a tree, went over an embankment and landed in a creek. She was thrown from the car.
Butler died about 4:45 p.m. at Wythe County Community Hospital.
