A 27-year-old man was beaten after two men tried to rob him at gunpoint in Northwest Roanoke early Tuesday, police said.
About 12:05 a.m., the man left a convenience store in the 3000 block of Salem Avenue Turnpike where he works and was attacked in the parking lot. Two men forced him to the side of the building, and one pulled a small pistol and demanded money. When the man said he did not have any money, he was pushed to the ground and kicked.
