* The Quaker Oats Co. plans to give its struggling Snapple iced teas and juices a new look and new products in what analysts say may be its last chance to revive the line. Details won't be revealed until November, but much of the focus apparently will be on improving single-serving sales in such places as convenience stores and delicatessens, where 80 percent of Snapple is sold. The Snapple beverage division lost nearly $35 million in the third quarter.
* Rowe Furniture Corp. of Salem said Thursday it has completed the buy-back of 500,000 shares of its common stock, a move authorized by its directors in January, and the board is expected to consider an additional buy-back at its next meeting. Rowe has repurchased 1.25 million shares since mid-1994.
* Thirty-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 7.86 percent this week, down from 7.88 percent last week, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. said Thursday. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages averaged 5.57 percent initially, down from 5.62 percent. Fifteen-year mortgages averaged 7.37 percent, down from 7.39 percent
