RIVER NEW FOCUS OF SEARCH FOR MISSING GIRL DIVERS SEARCH RIVER FOR MISSING GIRL

Dozens of divers probed by hand along the mucky bottom of the Occoquan River Thursday as the search for a missing 2-year-old girl continued for a fourth day.

Divers turned up no sign of Karynne Sheldon, who disappeared from outside the home where her mother works on Monday. The house is near the banks of the river.

The child's parents, Danielle and Scott Sheldon of Woodbridge, have offered a $25,000 reward for her safe return.

``I want to beg everybody, please, please bring my daughter back,'' 26-year-old Danielle Sheldon pleaded Wednesday.

More than 400 searchers have scoured the woods since Monday. Divers already worked the river near where Karynne was last seen, and searched a wider area Thursday.

Prince William County Police Chief Charlie Deane said the search will continue into the weekend. But he acknowledged that the longer the child is missing the greater the possibility she is not in the search area.
