Jamison anniversary

Some love stories are only fairy tales and some love stories are real. Here is a real-life love story.

When Becky was only 20 years old, Malcolm came into her life through one of his sisters. Becky's parents, Aubrey and Mae Barnhart Spigle, had only a short time to prepare for the upcoming nuptials. After a whirlwind courtship of a few months, this young couple was married in Central Church of the Brethren on October 26, 1946. After a shaky start, life settled down into something of a routine. After several years they began their family- one child every other year for 8 years. It seems they were trying to keep up with their original families. Becky's family consisted of Wray, Bill, Bob and the late Rachael Nichols. Malcolm's family consisted of Barry, Violet Penick, the late Junior, the late Evelyn Moore and the late Bev Maye Stafford. Malcolm also has a ""step"" family consisting of Mae Donnelly, Bev Kirby, Peggy Dickson, and the late Gary Wintemeyer. Malcolm's father, John Jamison, married Grace Gilbert. After Grace's death, John married Grace's sister Edna Gilbert Wintemeyer, who became an integral part of Malcolm and Becky's life. Becky was employed by A.T. Loyd, Attorney (whose firm later became Jolly, Place, Fralin, and Prillaman), throughout most of her working life. Malcolm spent many years at Rowe Furniture and Ward's Mobile Home Sales. In their 60's they ventured out into business ownership with the acquisition of J's Village Hardware in Stewartsville. Now retired, they spend time working on their neighborhood association committees and enjoy their place on Craig Creek. Time apart is spent with Becky being involved in church activities and with Malcolm ""piddling"" in his workshop. Their children are: Steve, and wife Lisa; Cary; Dale, and wife Donna; Lisa, and husband Carlton Radcliff. Malcolm and Becky share a special relationship with their six grandchildren. Malcolm and Becky are very different personalities. The richness of each of them has blended to created a unique and loving relationship that has lasted a lifetime. We commend your commitment and strive to follow your example.
