Shuttle buses

Shuttle buses will run today from the Williamson Road parking garage for ``The Sound of Music'' and the Express vs. South Carolina hockey game at the Roanoke Civic Center. Tickets are available at the box office (981-1201) for both events. Buses will begin running at 6 p.m. and will resume after both events. The shuttle and parking garage are free.

Parking is not permitted in private lots or in the post office lot. Cars parked in private lots will be towed.

Disabilities awareness

Celebrate ``Differing Abilities Awareness Days'' through Thursday at Virginia Tech. An ``Assistive Technology Fair: Technology of the Future'' will be held today, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., in the Commonwealth Ballroom of Squires Student Center. ``Trust Walk: An Opportunity to Learn About Self'' will be held Wednesday, 2 to 5 p.m., on the drill field. Richard Harris of Ball State University speak on ``Disability Humor: A Bridge to Understanding,'' 7-8:30 p.m. in McBryde 100. Student panels on ``My Educational Experience as a Student with a Hidden Disability at Virginia Tech'' will be held Thursday, 10 a.m.-noon and 3 to 5 p.m., in the Brush Mountain Room of Squires Call 231-3787 (TDD 231-8718).
