An armed man threatened a Roanoke convenience store employee Tuesday night before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber walked into the Uni-Mart at 2209 Brandon Ave. about 10:10 p.m. and demanded money from a cashier, Roanoke police said.
The man threatened the clerk, whose name was not released, while holding a gun to her face.
After taking a small amount of money, the man fled on foot, north on Carter Road, police said. He wore a ski mask that partially covered his face during the robbery.
The cashier was not injured, police said.
Police also are looking for a car that witnesses reported seeing in the area about the time of the robbery with a man inside who fit the cashier's description of the robber.
