SALEM PROMOTER BUYS RICHMOND FIRM

Robertson Marketing Group Inc. of Salem said Thursday it has acquired Powers Promotions, which serves the Richmond and Tidewater areas.

RMG, founded in 1979, is a full-service promotions firm that offers in-house screen printing, warehousing, packaging and creative services. It has been trying to expand in the Richmond and Tidewater markets, where it already has several major accounts, said chairman Thomas Robertson.

With the addition of the five-person Powers office, RMG employs 65 and operates six offices: in Salem, Richmond, Charlotte, Virginia Beach and two in the Washington, D.C., area.
