An auction to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be held tonight from 7-10 at the Roanoke Airport Marriott. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
Proceeds will go directly to local families coping with the various forms of neuromuscular disease that the MDA supports. The event will feature wine tasting, heavy hors d'oeuvres and music by Just Friends.
Items on the auction block will include two trips to Orlando, Fla.; golf trips to The Greenbrier, the Virginian and Myrtle Beach; a NASCAR trip to the NAPA 500 in Atlanta; a Smith Mountain Lake getaway; a weekend at The Hotel Roanoke; and, among other things, two signed ``Fireside in Virginia'' prints by the late Lynchburg artist Queena Stovall.
