Brown-Pugh

Beverly Elaine Pugh and Buford Wayne Brown were united in marriage Saturday, October 26, 1996 with the Reverend Bruce A. Noffsinger of Stanton, Va. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rona ld L. Kingery and Mr. and Mrs. Jack N. Pugh Sr. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alun A. Beckner and the late Mr. Andrew J. Beckner, the late Mr. Eugene W. and Mrs. Francis C. Pugh, and Mrs. Beaulah K. Lynch.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Betty E. Brown and the late Mr. Buford L. Brown. He is the grandson of Mrs. Nellie Hogan and the late Mr. Raymond L. Hogan, the late Mr. Lucious Delaughter and the late Mrs. Lillian Delaughter.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Karen Orr, special friend of the bride and groom. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Rhonda Pugh, sister-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Monica Ayers, Mrs. Sharon Caldwell and Mrs. Kim Wheeler, special friends of the bride and groom. A special young friend of the bride and groom was the flower girl. Miss Raechel E. White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted White, Midland, MI, friends of the bride and groom.

The groom's best man was Mr. Lynn Cantrell, friend of the groom and bride. Groomsmen were Mr. Jackie N. Pugh Jr., brother of the bride, Mr. Jackie N. Thompson, nephew of the bride, Mr. Joey Mayo, Mr. Kenny Orr, friends of the groom and bride. The special young ring bearer was Mr. Leon Smith, nephew of the groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Smith.

The guest book attendant was Mrs. Belinda Hager, niece of the groom. The program attendant was Mrs. Brenda Smith, sister of the groom. The special young man attending the bird seed was Mr. Phillip Webb, nephew of the groom.

Teresa Lynn Mills and Stephen Ray Bushnell were united in holy matrimony October 12, 1996 at Colonial Presbyterian Church. Dr. Michael Nevling officiated the ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was Lisa West, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Janet Davis, friend of the bride. The best man was Denver Horton and the groomsman was Glenn Powers, friends of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Carla Davis.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Edwin Mills of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, Virginia Western Community College and The Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy. She is employed by Walmart Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of the late Sarah Palmer Bushnell of Roanoke. He attended William Fleming High School and is employed by The Kroger Company.

After the wedding trip to the Poconos, the couple will live in Roanoke.

Campbell-Burk

Wenda Lynn Burk and Curtis Lee Campbell, Jr. were married October 12 in St. Paul United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. Charles Burnett, Rev. Doug Burk and Pastor Victoria Neese officiated. The reception was held at Wytheville Golf Club.

Dawn M. Anthony was the maid of honor. Traci P. Livingston and Melissa K. Rewis were bridesmaids.

Curtis L. Campbell was the best man. Robert A. Campbell, Michael R. Burk, Kevin B. Campbell and David E. Lowe served as ushers. The candlelighter was Jonathan T. Hubble.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar R. Burk of Orange Park, Florida. She is employed by Jones, Lambert, Radman, Smith P.C. of Wytheville.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis L. Campbell of Wytheville, VA. He is employed as a superintendent of Wytheville Golf Club.

The newlyweds will live in Wytheville, Virginia.

Dixon-O'Dell

Miss Edith Ellery O'Dell and Mr. Barry Wayne Dixon were united in marriage on July 20, 1996, at Westside Church of Christ in Salem, Virginia. Mr. M. Floyd Bailey, Jr. officiated.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Lisa Hawks, best friend of the bride. The bridesmaid was Miss Jennifer Chandler, close friend of the bride. The usher was Mr. Jason Albert, step-brother of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Miss Deedra Shrader, friend of the couple. The wedding ceremony was directed by Mrs. Cindy Clayton, friend of the bride.

Ede was escorted down the aisle by her step-father, Mr. Burton Albert. She wore a gown by Alfred Angelo of silk shantung and beaded lace. Her bouquet was a cascade of roses, carnations, irises, and ivy.

The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Katherine Bishop, Mrs. Lisa Valentine, and Mrs. Jennifer Boitnott were servers. All are friends of the couple.

The couple would like to especially thank Mrs. Lisa Hawks, M rs. Gloria Kinney, and Ms. Kathleen Messimer for all their special attention.

Ede is the daughter of Mr. Charles L. O'Dell, III and Mrs. Gail H. Albert, both of Roanoke. Barry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne A. Dixon of Fincastle.

The couple will make their home in Roanoke after Barry pilots his bride home from their honeymoon trip.

Dohnal-Boone

Cynthia Marie Boone and Todd Andrew Dohnal were united in marriage on Saturday, September 14, 1996 in an outside wedding at the home of the bride's parents in Wirtz, Va. Elder Lane Carter officiated the double ring ceremony. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Roanoke Airport Marriott.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Boone, Sr. of Wirtz, Va. Parents of the groom are Mr. Dennis W. Dohnal and Mrs. Kristina S. Adams, both of Richmond, Va.

Mrs. Gaytha Worley of Wirtz, Va., served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Shendy Kidd of Roanoke; Mrs. Monica Carter of Salem; Ms. Michelle Wilson of Ferrum; Mrs. Michelle Richardson of Twenty-nine Palms, Calif.; and Mrs. Renae Swain of Roanoke. Guestbook attendants were Ms. Bev Rhymer of Newport News and Ms. Jennifer Huff of Rocky Mount. The flowergirl was Miss Kelly Dohnal of Richmond. Serving as director of the ceremony was Mrs. Sylvia Bussey of Rocky Mount.

Mr. Andy Bailey of Mechanicsville, Va., served as the groom's best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Mark Dohnal of Mechanicsville, Va.; Mr. Benjie Boone of Blacksburg, Va.; Mr. Chris Woofter of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Mr. Rob Hauser of Radford, Va. The parking attendants were Mr. Trent Boone of Covington, Ohio, and Mr. Patrick Holland of Rocky Mount. Serving as organist was Mr. J.A. Holland of Salem.

The bride is a graduate of Radford University and works for Trammell Crow Company in Richmond. The groom is a graduate of Virginia Tech and works for Frog Hollow Sod Farm, Inc., also in the Richmond area.

The couple traveled to Sandals, Montego Bay, Jamaica on their honeymoon and now reside in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Faulkner-Strader

Jennifer Anne Strader and Daniel Ronald Faulkner were married October 26, 1996 in Bonsack United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Ashley officiated. The reception was held at the church.

The maid of honor was Jena Poindexter, friend. The bridesmaids were Lee White and Amy Smith, cousins of the bride, and Christy Fowler, friend of the bride. The flowergirl was Ashley Fowler, friend of the bride.

The best man was Clyde Young, Jr., friend of the groom. The ushers were Russell Lugar and Todd Agnew, friends of the groom, and Michael Strader, Jr., brother of the bride.

The guestbook was attended by Chad Dunn. The program attendants were Hunter Smith and Rachel Bernstein. The poetic verse reader was Candith Bruner. Special music was by Mark Frye, vocalist, and Amy Wolz on flute. Photography was by Barry Brooks. The wedding director was Nikki Morgan. Flowers were by Obenchain's Flowers. The organist was Melissa Cable.

The bride's gown of white organza, beaded with sequins and pearls, had a fitted bodice with a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves. The waist was adorned with drop pearls going into a full skirt with motifs, pearls, and sequins. The full chapel train was edged with chantilly lace and motifs. She wore a headpiece consisting of tiny silk and porcelain flowers with fingertip veil attached. Her bouquet consisted of a mixture of silk and fresh flowers.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Strader of Roanoke. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School in Roanoke and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. She is employed by Congressman Bob Goodlatte as District Representative.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Faulkner of Roanoke. He attended Virginia Western in Roanoke and is employed by Frito-Lay.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Florida.

Fleisher-Sutphin

Ramona Gay Sutphin and William Arden Fleisher were united in marriage on Saturday, October 26, 1996 at Central United Methodist Church in Radford. The Rev. Brent Hall of Greenville, Tennessee, and the Rev. Warren Wattenbarger officiated the candlelight ceremony.

The honor attendant was Virginia E. Sutphin, mother of the bride, and Mr. Arden Fleisher, father of the groom, served as best man.

The bride wore a gown of white silk with sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice that featured beaded and pearled lace appliques. The basque waistline fell into a full skirt and a semi-cathedral length train that were accented with scattered lace appliques. The bride's bouquet featured red roses and delphinium mixed with sprays of ivy.

The bride is the daughter of Virginia E. Sutphin and the late Cecil G. Sutphin, of Radford. She is employed by VTLS Inc. in Blacksburg, Va. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arden Fleisher of Clearwater, Florida and is emplo yed by Inland Motor in Radford, Va.

Music was provided by Pat Brown, organist, Jeanie Quesenberry, sister of the bride, and Mary Ann Sutphin, niece of the bride, vocalists. Scripture readings were provided by Christopher and Benjamin Fleisher, sons of the groom.

After their honeymoon, the couple will make their home in Radford, Virginia.

Gereaux-Thomas

Teresa Dawn Thomas and Gregory John Gereaux were married on July 27 at Roanoke College's Antrim Chapel in Salem. Rev. Laney Mofield officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ann and Scottie Thomas of Bristol, Virginia. The groom is the son of Patricia Gereaux and the late John D. Gereaux of St. Louis, Missouri.

Traci Thomas, of Bristol, served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Toni Caudle, of Roanoke, Bentha Cole, of Abingdon, and Elizabeth Mowrey, of Arvada, Colorado. Lauren Cole served as the flower girl.

Dr. William Reefe, of Roanoke, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Kimball Egge and Naji Karim, both of Roanoke, and Scott Thomas, of Bristol. Phillip Matthew Gereaux, son of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Scripture was read by Mitzi Watts. Marianne Sandborg, organist, provided the music. Melissa McKinney attended the guestbook. The wedding was coordinated by Jody Moir.

The bride is a graduate of Roanoke College and is employed by the college. The groom is employed b y Roanoke County Schools.

A reception was held in Olin Hall following the ceremony, with music provided by Reflections. After a wedding trip to Nags Head, the couple will reside in Catawba.

Goin-Gulewich

Julia Connie Gulewich and Travis Nelson Goin were united in marriage October 19, 1996 at the V.A. Medical Center's Rose Garden, Roseburg, Oregon.

Julia is the daughter of Gary and Mary Montgomery of Roseburg, Oregon and Michael Gulewich of Vista, California. She is a graduate of Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, California and is serving in the U.S. Navy, San Diego, California.

Travis is the son of Clayton and Mary Goin of Bedford County, Virginia. He is a graduate of Staunton River High School, Bedford, Virginia. Travis served in the U.S.. Navy and is now working for Texaco Refining and Marketing, in San Diego, California.

The newlyweds are living in San Diego, California following a wedding trip down the coast of California.

Johnson-Garrison

Meredith Anne Garrison and Daniel Roland Johnson were married November 2, 1996, at Church of the Holy Spirit in Roanoke. The Reverend Dr. R. Quigg Lawrence officiated. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and was given in marriage by her father and mother.

Sara O'Neal of Birmingham, Alabama, was maid of honor. Kimberly White Mauzy of Roanoke was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Dowdy of Blacksburg, Virginia; Amy Eck of Newark, Delaware; Margaret Johnson Kirkman of Aurora, Indiana, sister of the groom; Rebecca Helscher of Elon College, North Carolina; Whitney Simmons of Radford, Virginia; and Kristen Wehrmeister of Harrisonburg, Virginia. Flower girls were Mackenzie and Shelton Mauzy of Roanoke.

Lawrence D. Johnson, Jr., served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Bruce D. Johnson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, brother of the groom; Matthew C. Garrison of Fairfax, Virginia, brother of the bride; Bryan Eck of Newark, Delaware; Hans Kirkman of Aurora, Indiana; Michael Gilman of Richmond, Virginia; Joe Graham of Dayton, Tennessee; Steven Collins of Roanoke; and Peter Stone of Knoxville, Tennessee. Mitchell Kirkman, nephew of the groom, and Courtney Mauzy served a ring bearers.

Meredith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Timothy Garrison of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School, attended Elon College, and is employed at First Bank of Rhea County, Dayton, Tennessee.

Daniel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dietrich Johnson, Jr., of Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring High School and Bryan College and is employed by the YMCA of Dayton, Tennessee.

After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will live in Dayton, Tennessee.

Karr-Davies

VIRGINIA BEACH - Donna Marie Davies and John Hampton Karr were united in marriage during a nuptial mass officiated by Father James Noto at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church on October 26, 1996. A reception followed at Shifting Sands, Dam Neck.

Rosalinda Henderson served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Karen Karr, sister of the groom, Susan Belcher and Rebecca Halpern, friends of the bride.

Steve Henderson served as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Anderson, Rob Hale, and Jim Billing, all friends of the groom.

Readers were Ann Marie Williams, Lori Beaudoin and Beth Hunley. Eucharistic Ministers were Jo Ann and Lee Vaught. The mistress of ceremony was Beth Hunley. Tammy Cherry was in charge of programs and the guest book.

The bride is the daughter of Theresa E. and Richard H. Davies of Virginia Beach. She graduated from First Colonial High School and received a B.S. degree in Finance at Virginia Tech and a B. A. degree in Accounting at Saint Leo College. She is an accountant at the Coast Guard Finance Center in Chesapeake.

The groom is the son of Donald L. and Ann B. Karr of Roanoke, Virginia. He graduated from Cave Spring High School in Roanoke and received a B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech. He is a nuclear engineer at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean and a trip to Orlando, Florida, the couple will reside in Virginia Beach.

Leake-Willard

Susan Carol Willard and James Austin Leake were united in marriage on O ctober 26, 1996, at Bethel Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia. The Reverend R. Stuart Carlton officiated the double ring ceremony. The reception was held at the church's fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Willard of Salem, Virginia. She is a graduate of Salem High School and Virginia Western Community College.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Leake, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia. He is a graduate of Shawsville High School and New River Community College. He is employed by R.F. Micro Devices, Inc., in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The matron of honor was Sandra Bishop of Salem, Virginia, sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Kimberly Willard of Roanoke, Virginia, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Tina Weng of Roanoke, Virginia, friend of the bride; junior bridesmaid was Kendra Leake of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, niece of the groom; and the flowergirl was Lorin Leake of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, niece of the groom.

The best man was Philip Parker of Roanoke, Virginia, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Harry T. Leake of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, brother of the groom and Scott Wills of Harrisonburg, Virginia, friend of the groom.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore an elegant gown of white organza with a fitted basque bodice embellished with alencon lace, pearls and sequins. The gown featured a full skirt accented with pearls and alencon lace appliques with a chapel length train. The gown also featured a V-neck line and long fitted sleeves. The bride wore a fingertip length veil with a tiara made of pearls designed in a flower pattern. She carried a cascading bouquet of white dendrobium orchids mixing with white and pink roses accented with baby's breath.

After a wedding trip to Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the newlyweds will reside in High Point, North Carolina.

Mabry-Sadler

Drema McClaugherty Sadler and Edward Lee Mabry were married September 28, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. by Matt Showalter, minister, at Newbern Community Christian Church in Newbern, Va. The bride was escorted by her sons John and Scott Sadler. Bride and groom were attended by their children. The bride is employed by Carilion Radford Community Hospital. The groom is employed by the Department of Corrections. The couple will reside in Dublin, Va

Nesbit-Nolan

Sandra Lynn Nolan and Steven Lawrence Nesbit were married Saturday, November 2, 1996, at Hotel Roanoke with Rabbi Kathy Cohen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bernard Nolan of Roanoke, Virginia. She is a graduate of North Cross School and Hood College. She is associated with Wear It Well in Bethesda, Maryland.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nesbit of Monroeville, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and earned his Masters Degree in Management Information Systems from American University. He is President of Portal Technologies in Potomac, Maryland.

Rachel Yuffee Ehudin of Bethesda, Maryland, was Matron of Honor. The bridesmaids were Dawn Ehrlich Epstein of Potomac, Maryland, Owen Hurt Weaver of Houston, Texas, and Carla Nesbit Abraham of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, sister of the groom.

Mr. Jack Nesbit, father of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Alexander Alan Nolan, of Roanoke, Virginia, brother of the bride, Jeffrey Marmins of Washington, D.C., and Samuel Abraham of McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Nesbit's niece, Shannon Leigh Abraham, was the flowergirl and his nephew, Ari Evan Abraham, served as ringbearer.

After a wedding trip to Curacao, the couple will reside in Potomac, Maryland.

Nicely-Rucker

Judith L. Rucker and David G. Nicely II (Charlie) were married August 17, 1996 in Selma Brethern Church. Reverend Luther Ramsey officiated. The reception was held in the church.

The maid of honor was Sandy McElwee, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Anna Carter, sister of the bride, and Denise Arthur, sister of the groom. The flowergirl was Elizabeth Highlander, a friend's daughter.

The best man was Reggie Arthur, brother-in-law of the groom. The ushers were Darrell Averill and Rodney Broughman, cousins of the groom. The ringbearer was Aaron Rucker, son the bride. The candlelighters were Darrell Averill and Rodney Broughman. The guestbook was attended by Lois May.

Servers at the reception were Lesley Crosier, cousin of the groom, and Rosie Van Ness, friend of the bride and groom. Music was performed by Miranda Snead.

The bride's gown was of white satin with pearls and had a V-neck with lace sleeves. She carried a mixed bouquet of purple pansies and pink, white and red baby roses.

The bride is a daughter of Fred and Roymaine Carter of Selma, VA. She is a 1986 graduate of Alleghany High School in Alleghany County and is employed by Douthat State Park.

The groom is the son of Mary Nicely of Clifton Forge and the late David Nicely of Roanoke. He is a 1988 graduate of Alleghany High School in Alleghany County and is employed by Phillips Refrigeration in Covington, VA.

The newlyweds will live in Clifton Forge, VA, after the wedding trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN.

Parrish-Wray

Kimberly Alice Wray and Matthew Wells Parrish were united in marriage on November 2, 1996 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. The Reverend Anthony Busic officiated. A reception followed at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne E. Wray of Roanoke, VA. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel D. Parrish of Staunton, VA.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maid-of-honor was Mitzi Ferguson of Roanoke, VA, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Wray of Martinsville, VA, cousin of the bride; Mary Lida Venn of Richmond, VA, and Danna Reddington of Melbourne Beach, FL, sister of the groom; and Tamara Seelig of Clayton, NC, friend of the bride. Kate Parrish, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.

The best man was Alex Kramer of Richmond, VA, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were David and Douglas Parrish, Staunton, VA, brothers of the groom; David Wray of Garner, NC, brother of the bride; Douglas Quick of Durham, NC, Jeff Walker of Falls Church, VA, and John Webster of Arlington, VA, friends of the groom. Daniel Parrish, II, nephew of the groom, was the ringbearer.

Kimberly wore an elegant ivory gown of Dupioni silk. The gown featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and long sleeves. Silk fabric rosettes and pearls adorned the neckline and long sleeves. The skirt rosettes were also scattered on the full skirt. The edge of the skirt was scalloped, and the train extended to cathedral length.

Music was provided by JoAnn Clevinger, organist; Chris Pike, pianist; Mark Mitchell, trumpeter; and Wendy Dillard, vocalist. The guest book and program were attended by Wendi Fout, friend of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of William Byrd High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Radford University. She is a teacher in Savannah, Ga.

The groom is a graduate of Fort DeFiance High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Radford University. He is serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Fort Stewart, Ga.

The rehearsal dinner and bridal breakfast was held at the Sheraton Inn Airport. After a wedding trip to Tybee Island, the couple will reside in historic Savannah, Ga.

Paxton-White

Roanoke- Sally Hildreth White and Marcus Lee Paxton were married at 6 p.m. on November 2 at Christ Lutheran Church.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Edward Thornton White of Danville.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. James Lee Paxton and Mrs. Gloria Higginbotham, both of Lexington.

Officiating minister was the Reverend Mark Radecke. Music was presented by Gail Allen, organist, and Melissa Berger, soloist.

The bride was escorted in marriage by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The bridegroom is a 1987 graduate of Rockbridge High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Longwood College. He is employed by Atlantic Mutual.

Following a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple will live in Roanoke.

Mary Virginia Lynch and Benjamin Leonard Pinckard, Jr., were united in holy matrimony Saturday, August 10, 1996, at Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Dr. Joseph R. Bryant performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raven and Jean Lynch of Rocky Mount, Virginia.

The groom is the son of Ms. Linda Dudley Pinckard of Key West, Florida, and Mr. Benjamin Leonard Pinckard of Rocky Mount, Virginia.

The bride was escorted by her father, Raven Lynch.

Maid of honor was Holland Saltsman of St. Louis, Missouri. Bridesmaids were Jeannie Janousek of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Melanie Farr of Oak Harbor, Washington, Angela Mullins of Callaway, Virginia, Stephanie Enochs of Roanoke, Virginia, and Kristen Pastino of Oceanside, California. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride and groom in Rocky Mount, Virginia, where they will reside after a wedding trip to Grand Cayman Islands, British West Indies.

Ceremony music was performed by the string quartet of: Jane Wang, violin, Martin Erving, viola, Ralph Jaxtheimer, cello, and David Lipps, violin, and Winnie Mitchell, organ.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of Franklin County High School and a 1995 graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. degree in health services administration. Sh e is currently campaign manager for Ben Pinckard, Jr., candidate for Clerk of the Circuit Court of Franklin County.

The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of Franklin County High School and a 1992 graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in accounting. He is employed as an internal auditor with Carilion Health System and a candidate for Clerk of the Circuit Court of Franklin County.

Ray-Rhodes

Deborah Ann Rhodes and Frank Andrew Ray were married September 28, 1996 in Mountain View Baptist Church. Rev. Curtis Nester officiated. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The maid of honor was Erin Early, the bride's cousin. The bridesmaids were Jeannie Early and Lora Leigh Early, the bride's cousins, and Missy Newcomb, the bride's friend.

The bride's gown was white silk shantung featuring a V-neckline and short puff sleeves; elongated basque bodice accented with Schiffli lace, pearls and sequins; full skirt encircled with lace and a cathedral length train. She carried a cascade bouquet with white roses, purple statice, teal-accented freesia, and greenery.

The bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ernest Moore of Richlands, VA. She is a graduate of Radford University and UVA School of Nursing, and is employed by Carilion as an oncology nurse.

The groom is the son of Martha Reece and Joel Reece of Hickory, NC. He is a graduate of Duke University and Bowman Gray School of Medicine and is employed by Carilion as a Chief Resident of family practice.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii.

The marriage of Miss Mary Cabell Green to Mr. Bodo Stock took place October 26, 1996 during a private ceremony in the Governor's Suite at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Insley Green of Salem, and the late Sally Watson Overbey Green. The groom is the son of Mrs. Johannes Robert Stock of Ruther Glen, and the late Mr. Stock.
