A Chesterfield County teen-ager who was arrested in a March crime spree that stretched from Prince George County to Roanoke was acquitted Monday of being an accomplice to armed robbery.
An Amherst County Circuit Court jury found Tonisha T. Webster, 17, innocent of aiding in a motel stickup in which Shaun M. Love pleaded guilty to robbery. Love also has admitted killing his girlfriend in Prince George County and robbing a motel in Lynchburg.
On March 5, the pair led police on a high-speed chase on U.S. 460 from Bedford County to Roanoke, where they crashed. Love testified that Webster knew about the robbery plans and provided him with the gun. Webster denied that and said she begged Love to stop the car during the chase because ``I was going to die.''
