When hockey season starts, the chill of winter is in the air, and winter sports are revving up in the valley.
Want to learn to skate or play youth hockey? Want to twirl like Kristi Yamaguchi or Brian Boitano Just want to practice your double axel or triple lutz?
Then find your ice skates and go to the Roanoke Civic Center for $5 public ice skating sessions.
The civic center has purchased new skates, which can be rented for $2. Groups of 10 or more receive $2 off admission.
Ice skating is cheap, fun and a great way to exercise with family and friends.
