ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

The number of homes sold in the Roanoke Valley fell to 269 in October, off 17.2 percent from 325 in October a year ago. Sales for the first 10 months were 3,216, off 4.5 percent from 3,370. On average, buyers last month paid 2.3 percent less than the listed price, and properties spent 84 days on the market. The most expensive house listed for $425,000 and sold for $385,000 after 86 days. The least expensive listed for $14,000 and sold after 351 days for $9,500.
