Archaeology speaker at library Wednesday

CHRISTIANSBURG - Tom Klatka will be the featured speaker when the New River Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Virginia meets Wednesday.

Klatka will discuss recent archaeological research activities by the Roanoke regional office of the state Department of Historic Resources.

The meeting, to be held at 7 p.m. at the Christiansburg branch of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library at 125 Sheltman St., is free and open to the public.

Adult learning to be focus of broadcast

RADFORD - Radford University will host a live satellite broadcast on "Adult Learning in America" Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. in Heth Hall Commonwealth Room.

The free broadcast will feature an expert panel who will address the issues adult college students face and the questions and difficulties with which college faculty and administrators must contend. Such students are an increasingly large and important part of today's colleges.
