PORTION OF YELLOW MOUNTAIN ROAD CLOSED TO TRAFFIC

Part of Yellow Mountain Road in Roanoke County will be closed to traffic during the daylight hours beginning today, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Because of road construction in the area, a portion of the road 0.3 of a mile from U.S. 220 will be closed from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. It will be open, however, during the night.

The road is expected to be closed during the day through the end of November, the department said. Call 387-5488 for more information.
