The Old Georgetown Deli and Pub, which opened recently in downtown Roanoke, still sells Mason and Hannabass meats. A story in Friday's Business section incorrectly said the meat market had closed.
The Old Georgetown Deli and Pub has opened in downtown Roanoke in the storefront at 118 Campbell Ave. that formerly housed Mason & Hannabass meat market and deli.
The restaurant, owned by former Hotel Roanoke chef Tom Hamelman and his wife, Cynthia, serves soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts, and the shop sells deli meats.
The deli is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Once the pub gets its ABC license, Cynthia Hamelman said, it will remain open until 11 p.m. or midnight and will sell beer and wine.
