Who could have imagined Michael Jackson would do something so conventional?
The Gloved One gave matrimony another chance Thursday and married Debbie Rowe, who is carrying his baby.
``They did it,'' frazzled Jackson publicist Christine Holevas confirmed in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The private wedding ceremony took place at the Sheraton on the Park Hotel after Jackson's evening concert, said a spokesman for the Australian tour promoter, Dainty Consolidated Entertainment.
Back home, Southern Californians reacted with disbelief and a collective ``get real.''
``I think he's as likely to find happiness in this marriage as he is to find work as a baritone,'' said John Wilson, a Los Angeles entertainment promoter.
Jackson is 38 and Rowe, who met Jackson 15 years ago at the offices of the pop star's plastic surgeon, is 37. It is the second marriage for both.
In January, Lisa Marie Presley cited irreconcilable differences in filing for divorce from Jackson. They were married for less than two years.
Jackson announced Nov. 4 that Rowe was pregnant with his child, and denied a tabloid report that the couple used artificial insemination and that Rowe was paid $528,000 to carry the baby, due in February.
