Three bankruptcies with business affiliations have been filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Western Virginia at Roanoke. Two of them are personal bankruptcies that the court listed as businesses because they have commercial connections and could be of interest to business creditors and customers.

* Penn's Funeral Home of Pulaski, which has also done business as Ellery's Blues & More and as Claytor Funeral Home, filed for reorganization and protection from creditors. The company said it had assets of $113,966 and liabilities of $82,164.

* Joseph Riley Bozeman and Peggy Evans Bozeman of Hardy filed for liquidation with assets of $17,610 and liabilities of $26,369. Joseph Bozeman is a self-employed carpenter.

* Paul Fields and Phyllis Fields of St. Paul filed for liquidation with assets of $11,750 and liabilities of $25,091. Paul Fields is a self-employed lugger.
