Davis-Chandler

Angela Lea Chandler and Ralf Matthew Davis were married October 19th in Gatewood Baptist Church, Providence, N. C., with Rev. John Gentry officiating. The reception was held in the Fellowship Hall. The matron of honor was Robin Brumfield, friend of bride. Bridesmaids were Robyn Ingram, friend of bride, Kathy Hilton, and Kristy Dix, cousins of bride. Rainer M. Davis, brother of groom, served as best man. Ushers were Peyton F. Davis, father of groom, Roger Davis and Gary Davis, uncles of groom. Candlelighter was Bryan Richardson, and guestbook attendant was Amy Richardson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Chandler, Jr., Danville, Va. She is a graduate of Southall Christian School, Danville, Va., and attended Danville Community College, Danville, Va. The bride is employed by The CIT Group Commercial Services in Danville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peyton F. Davis, Roanoke, Va. He graduated from Radford University, Radford, Va., and is employed by Revco Drugs, Inc. in Danville, Va., as store manager. The newlyweds will live in Danville, after the wedding trip on a cruise to the southern Caribbean.

Dede-Hoover

Jennifer E. Hoover and Edgar K. Dede were married August 17, 1996 in Maranatha Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Daniel Eshleman and Rev. Jay Fretz officiated. The reception was held in Venice Inn, Hagerstown, MD.

The maid of honor was Nancy Horn, friend. The bridesmaids were Kendall Hurt, friend; Becky Bollinger, cousin; and Krista Emerson, friend.

The best man was Darryl Cronk, friend. The ushers were Greg Divers, Andy Henritze, and David Bishop, friends.

The guestbook was attended by Tabitha Pryor.

The bride's gown was satin with a sequined bodice and a chapel length train. She carried a cascade bouquet of white flowers arranged with ivy.

The bride is the daughter of Lansing and Barbara Hoover of Hagerstown, MD. She is a graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD, and an April '92 graduate of Central Pennsylvania Business School in Summerdale, PA. She is employed by Citicorp Credit Services.

The groom is the son of Karl and Helen Dede of Roanoke, VA. He is a graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantown, W.Va., where he received his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, and will be a December '96 graduate with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed by Lockheed Martin.

The newlyweds will live in Nashua, NH, after the wedding trip to St. Lucia.

Dollberg-Page

Michele Lynn Page & David Vincent Dollberg were married September 14, 1996 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The outdoor wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Page Family farm located on Little River in Graysontown, VA. Mr. Ron Putnum, First Church of God in Blacksburg, VA. officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Page of Graysontown, VA. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Henry Dollberg of Fairfield, NJ.

Michele wore an elegant white satin gown featuring a V-neckline and long sleeves. The elongated basque bodice was decorated with alencon lace, pearls and sequins. Lace encircled the full skirt and the train extended to cathedral length.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Sarah L. Winters, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tammy Nolen Kirtner, Lori Young Mears, and Lydia Tawney, all friends of the bride and groom.

Dan Christie, friend of the bride and groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were John Shirley and Mark McKenna, friends of the bride and groom, and Robert Dollberg, brother of the groom.

The guestbook was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel W. Page, brother and sister-in-law of the bride. Elaine Page, aunt of the bride, and Susan Compton, cousin of the bride, directed the ceremony. Faye Winters, aunt of the bride, prepared the food for the reception. Elaine Winters, cousin of the bride, and Derrick Branscome, friend of the bride and groom, videotaped the ceremony. Bridget Dollberg, sister-in-law of the groom, attended to the wedding music.

The bride is a graduate of Auburn High School and Radford University. She is employed in the finance department at DePaul Family Services, Roanoke, VA. The groom is a graduate of West Essex High School and Virginia Tech. He is employed in the architect department at Hayes, Seay, Mattern and Mattern, Roanoke, VA.

After a wedding trip to Glacier National Park, Montana, the couple will reside in Roanoke County.

Herndon-Allen

Gina Lorelle Allen and Jerry Gene Herndon, Jr., were united in marriage Saturday, November 16, 1996, at Calvary United Methodist Church. The Reverend Robin Colwell officiated. A reception followed at Saint Ellias Social Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Eugene Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Leonard, Jr.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gene Herndon.

The maid of honor was Keisha Allen, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Hunt, cousin of the bride; Mandy Friend and Tina Gimbert, special friends of the bride.

The best man was Jerry Herndon, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Greg Flowers, Chris Sweet and Mike Taurone, f riends of the groom.

A special poem was read by Christy McLeod. The guestbook attendant was Stephanie Stitcher. The wedding was directed by Sabrina Garvin. Videography was provided by Rita Locklear and Katrina Brodrecht. Servers at the reception were Ramona Chavis, Lori Jones and Pam Vandergrift. Flowers were by Debbie Grant. Reception done by Margaret Wright.

The bride graduated from William Byrd High School and Virginia Western Community College in Radiologic Technology. She is employed by Vitramon, Inc.

The groom graduated from William Byrd High School and is employed by Tread Corporation and Lowe's.

The newlyweds will live in Vinton after a wedding trip to Florida.

The groom and bride would like to thank their friends and family for all the help and support they have given the couple in these past few weeks, and those who came in from such distance to help us celebrate our marriage. This means more to us than words can even express.

Lesher-Hagan

Jean Cameron Hagan and Kristian Blair Lesher were married November 16, 1996 in St. John's Episcopal Church. Rev. Thomas O'Dell officiated. The reception was held in the Roanoke Country Club.

Rapids, N.C. and Sarah Johnson Hagan of Richmond, VA, sisters of the bride; Katrina Marie Lesher of Richmond, VA, sister of the groom; Carrie Earle Fitzsimmons of Richmond, VA, Jacqueline Edmunds McCurdy of Roanoke, VA, and Laura Garland Dearing of Roanoke, VA, friends.

The best man was Mr. David Ryan Lesher of Richmond, VA, father of the groom. Ushers were Brent Ryan Lesher of Richmond, VA, brother of the groom; Charles Warren Godfrey of Richmond, VA and William Kreisler Neal, Jr. of Rke. Rapids, N.C., brothers-in-law; Paul Banks Bowers, John David Nelms, Raymond James Morris, Richmond, VA and Stanley Byron Tarr, Astoria, New York, friends of the groom.

The ringbearers were William Roland Godfrey of Richmond, VA and William Kreisler Neal, III, of Rke. Rapids, N.C., nephews of the bride.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell Hagan of Roanoke, VA. She is a graduate of Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA, and earned a master's degree in Developmental Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She is employed by Child Development Center at Wyndham as a preschool teacher.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Ryan Lesher of Richmond, VA. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA with a computer science engineering degree. He is employed by Circuit City Corporate Office.

The newlyweds will live in Richmond, VA after the wedding trip to Barbados.

McCulley-Kerns

Monica Roseanne Kerns and Richard Lee McCulley, both of Clayton, N.C., were married September 14, in Parkersburg, W.Va.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Ms. Darrell Kerns of Belpre, Ohio. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. McCulley, Sr., of Salem, Va.

Donna Kerns of Houston, Texas, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Mark McCulley, brother of the groom, of Bedford, Virginia, served as the best man. Travis Kerns Murray of Houston, Texas, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of Marietta Memorial School of Radiologic Technology, and is employed as a Radiologic Technologist in Raleigh, N.C. The groom is a graduate of Bridgewater College in Virginia, with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business and Economics. He is employed by Krogers.

After a honeymoon in New Orleans, L.A., the couple resides in Clayton, N.C.

Moore-Conner

Valerie Ann Conner and William Blakely Moore were married Saturday, November 16, 1996 at Vinton Baptist Church. Dr. William Ross officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rebecca H. Conner and the late Mr. Bobby L. Conner of Vinton. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Warren B. Huddleston, also of Vinton. The groom is the son of Mrs. Susan Butz of Northville, Michigan and Mr. William Moore of Port Gibson, Mississippi. He is the grandson of Mrs. Bonnie Moore, also of Port Gibson, Mississippi.

The bride was escorted by her mother and given in marriage by her mother and brothers. The matron of honor was Mrs. Amy Boush of Roanoke, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Miss Melissa Moore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, sister of the groom, Miss Stacey Edmunds, Miss Teresa Austin, and Miss Kelly Linderman of Arlington, Virginia, Miss Jacque Atkins of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Mrs. Angie Hutchison of Richmond, Virginia, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Jaclyn Conner of Vinton, niece of the bride. Miss Caitlin Leith of Wake Forest, North Carolina, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Mr. William Moore, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Richard Campbell and Mr. Steven Meadows of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, friends of the groom, Mr. Brian Moore of Clearwater, Florida, Mr. David Moore of Starkville, Mississippi, Mr. Ryan Butz and Mr. Theaux Manning of Northville, Michigan, brothers of the groom, and Mr. Ryan Conner of Vinton, nephew of the bride. Master Logan Conner of Vinton, the bride's nephew, served as ring bearer. Candlelighters were Master Aaron Conner and Mr. Ryan Conner of Vinton, nephews of the bride.

The guest book was attended by Miss Julie Plunk of Vinton, friend of the bride. Program attendants were Miss Ashley Conner and Miss Jamison Conner of Vinton, nieces of the bride. Mrs. Alice Lackey of Vinton, aunt of the bride, served as wedding coordinator. Music was performed by Emanuel of Vinton Baptist Church.

A reception at the Patrick Henry Hotel in Roanoke followed the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of James Madison University. She is employed by Cameron & Barkley Company. The groom is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He is employed by Armstron g World Industries.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Parrish-Sledd

Sherri Sledd and Michael Parrish were married November 9, 1996 in West Salem Baptist Church. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Michael Slaughter. The reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club.

The maid of honor was Susan Hartman, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Stephanie Mathena, Donna Howard, and Crystal Camina, friends; Kristen Lowe, cousin of the bride; Karen Cook and Teresa Green, sisters of the bride. The flowergirl was Shelly Smith and Cassie Smith, cousins of the bride.

The best man was Steven Parrish, father of the groom. The ushers were Brian Nelson, Eric Nelson, Trey Batts, and Jay Ayersman, friends; Robert Parrish and Richard Parrish, brothers of the groom. The ringbearer was Tyler Parrish.

The candlelighters were Michael Green and Dennis Cook, brothers-in-law of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Vicki Young.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven E. Parrish of Salem. He is a graduate of Salem High School and Virginia Tech, and is employed by Atlas Marketing in Salem, VA.

The newlyweds will live in Salem after the wedding trip to Disneyworld.

Reynolds-Bocock

Darren Wesley Reynolds and Tina Marie Bocock are pleased to announce that they have been united in marriage. The private ceremony was held October 29, 1996.

Mr. Reynolds is the son of Fred and Ina Reynolds of Roanoke. Darren attended Patrick Henry High School and is employed by Food Lion.

Ms. Bocock is the daughter of David and Garlene Bocock of Roanoke. Tina attended Roanoke Valley Christian School and is employed by J. C. Bradford & Company.

Stone-Gray

Marion S. Gray and William L. Stone were married October 12 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Rev. Billy White performed the double ring ceremony.

A reception followed at Roanoke Moose Lodge. The bride was given in marriage by her son Barry Gray and her daughter Pamela Thrush. The bride's nephew, Brad Harshbarger, was the candlelighter. The wedding music was performed by her nephews Chris Long and Tony Kiser.

The bride wore a candlelite white silk ankle length dress and carried a bouquet of orchids.

The bride is the daughter of the late Jacob C. Harshbarger, Sr. and the late Daisy H. Rhodes. She is a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School and is employed by General Electric.

The bridegroom is the son of the late William G. and Margurett Stone. He is a graduate of William Fleming High School and is employed by General Electric.

After a trip to Florida and a cruise to the Bahamas, the newlyweds will live in S.W. Roanoke County.

Wolfe-Lumbo

Jacqueline Elizabeth Lumbo was married to Brian Russell Wolfe on Saturday, August 24, 1996, at The Colony in Palm Beach, Florida. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Cromie of Palm Beach. A reception and dinner dance was held at The Colony Hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Anastacio Barrano Lumbo and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Chapman of Roanoke, Virginia. The groom is the son of Ann Wolfe of Palm Beach and Dr. Harvey I. Wolfe of Boca Raton, Florida.

The bride attended Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, and Mar ymount College in New York City. She is employed by Natural Products Packaging in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The groom attended Palm Beach Day School in Palm Beach, is a graduate of The University of Florida, and received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Nova University. He is self-employed.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The matron of honor was Lynda Chapman Wessel of Palm Beach, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Penny Gabris, sister of the bride of Roanoke, Sheila Ahonen of Atlanta, Georgia, Andrea Kitchen of Palm Beach, Florida, Susan Anderson of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Sally Wolfe, sister of the groom of Alexandria, Virginia. Christian Angelica Beckner, cousin of the bride of Phoenix, Alabama, was flower girl, and Joseph Gabris, nephew of the bride of Roanoke, Virginia, was ring bearer.

The best man was Jim Stewart of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Ushers were Richard Beckner of Phoenix, Alabama, Larry Lamb of Winder, Georgia, Edward Baldwin of Jacksonville, Florida, Alfred Rochelle-Thomas of Palm Beach, Florida, and Robert Alfert of Orlando, Florida.

After a honeymoon to Spain, Italy, Sicily, and the south of France, the couple will reside in North Palm Beach, Florida.
