Craighead anniversary
David and Hazel Craighead celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary November 16, 1996. A reception hosted by their children; Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hendrick, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Dyer, and grandchildren; Patrick Abbott, and Mr. and Mrs. James Lynskey was held at Valley View Wesleyan Church in Roanoke, Virginia. David is retired from Wilson Trucking Corporation. Hazel continues to work as a companion C.N.A. DeHart anniversary
Charles L. & Meryl G. DeHart celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 12, 1996. They were married Nov. 12, 1946 in Radford, Va.
Charles is retired from Atlas Pdr. Co. & Meryl is retired from Hercules Incorporated.
They have one son, Charles L. (Chuck) DeHar t, Jr.

Calvin and Opal Dillon celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary November 15, 1996. They were honored by their children and grandchildren with a reception at Edgewood Christian Church on Saturday, November 16, 1996.
Light anniversary
Luther and Irene Light celebrated their 40th anniversary on November 17, 1996. The celebration was held at Waverly Place Baptist Church. The couple was married November 17, 1956 in Roanoke. The have lived in Vinton for 33 years.
She is the former Irene DeLong. Their children are Diane Ross of Vinton; Steve Light of Roanoke; Dennis Light; and Amy Grammer of Roanoke. They have 3 grandchildren.
He is retired from Roanoke City Health Department. She is retired from C & P Telephone. Both are active members of Waverly Place Baptist Church. He has been active in league bowling for many years. She is a member of the Telephone Pioneers of Virginia.
Lucas anniversary
William and Frances Lucas mark their Golden Wedding Anniversary on November 19, 1996. A reception for family and friends will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 17th at the University Club of Virginia Tech, hosted by their so ns - Charles of Ponte Vedre Beach, Florida; David of Duck, North Carolina; and Miles of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Wilson anniversary
Willard C. and Marjorie C. Wilson of Salem celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 16, 1996. A buffet reception with family and friends was given in their honor at the Salem Senior Center hosted by their children, Diana Wilson, special memory-Ricky Wilson, Bob & Debbie Wilson and Marilyn Rose Lovern Hite, all of Salem.
They have six grandchildren, Matthew and April Wilson, Travis, Melissa and Brandon Lovern, and Joey Hite Jr.
Willard and Marjorie were married November 16, 1946 by Rev. Emory N. Tarpley in a quiet ceremony in his home. She was formerly Marjorie Cooper of Salem. They are residents of Salem and are enjoying their retirement together.
Mom and Dad, we love you both very much. You have shown us all what love truly is. We wish you many more happy years together.
