Street, formerly known as the Henry Street Music Center. Prompted by
complaints from members of the black community and members of the
former owners' family, Total Action Against Poverty agreed to rename
the center after the Dumas Hotel, which occupied the building for
decades and was a focal point for the black community during the
days of segregation. Law's son and daughter-in-law were the last
