An elderly couple was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 460 in Tazewell County.
Jim C. Sayers, 87, and Ethel M. Sayers, 78, both of North Tazewell County, died about 9:50 a.m., Virginia State Police Trooper C.R. Purkey said.
Purkey said the Sayers pulled into the path of a westbound pickup truck just east of Virginia 783..
The identity and condition of the driver of the pickup were unavailable Thursday night.
