ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Blue Ridge Parkway traffic continues to lag in the Roanoke district and Virginia. Traffic entering the parkway in the Roanoke area in October was off 11.3 percent from last October and 11.4 percent from October 1994. The number in Virginia fell 8.9 percent from a year ago. Traffic overall rose 7.8 percent because of an increase of 20.2 percent of motorists driving the North Carolina portion.
