RED RIBBON WEEK WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Drug and alcohol prevention efforts at three Roanoke schools were honored recently by the Roanoke Valley Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council and RAYSAC (Roanoke Area Youth Substance Abuse Coalition.)

Roanoke Catholic Lower School, Hidden Valley Junior High School and William Byrd High School each will receive $500 to be used for substance abuse prevention at their schools. Schools were judged on the level of parent, student, and faculty involvement in the 1996 Red Ribbon Week activities.
