FIRST CITIZENS PLANS OFFICE IN VINTON

First Citizens Bank plans to establish an office in Vinton at 970 Hardy Road if the Raleigh, N.C.-based company's application is approved by regulatory agencies.

First Citizens has 306 offfices in 183 Virginia and North Carolina communities. It has 19 Virginia locations, including offices in Bedford, Big Island, Blacksburg, Chatham and Clifton Forge.

Two branches will open in Roanoke in the spring, one in the Harris-Teeter supermarket under construction on Brambleton Avenue and the other in a former First Union branch building on Electric Road.
