BRYANT, Maggie Mae, 91, of Eagle Rock, died Thursday, November 28, 1996. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Campbell and Robert Bryant. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Arnold Hagan of Madison Heights; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Paula Bryant, David and Peggy Bryant of Eagle Rock; two stepsons, Lewis Bryant, Boyd Bryant; two stepdaughters, Annie Lyle, Susie Spangler; 12 grandchildre n; and four great-grandchildren. CANTARA, Mark E., 33, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 1996, in his sleep. He left behind a loving wife, Lisa Cantara, and son, Charles, of Blacksburg. He is survived also by his mother, Arlene Triplett of Christiansburg; his sister, Susan Barr, and niece, Alexis Nichole, of Ohio, and his grandmother, Daurice Westgate of Blacksburg. Mark left behind many friends, Ben and Cathy Williams and th eir son Jami, of Christiansburg, Mark and Sarah Weaver of Blacksburg, William and Deena Garth of Mount Home, Idaho, and Ann Marie Fritz of Michigan. CRUM, Herbert Earl, 81, of Salem, died Thursday, November 28, 1996. Was retired from Radford Army Arsenal and was a Navy World War II veteran. DUNCAN, Jean Helena, 69, of Dublin, and formerly of Wythe County, died Wednesday, November 27, 1996, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Laura Stoots Duncan. She is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Frank Ferguson of Southern Pines, N.C., Alma and Buddy Massey of Burlington, N.C.; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Evelyn Duncan of Crockett. Several nieces and nephews also survive. FORBES, Signora Eaves, 69, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 1996. She was born in Radford to the late James W. and Rachel A. Eaves. She was preceded in death by her son, Charlie J. Forbes Jr. Mrs. Forbes was a loyal and dedicated member of the High Street Baptist Church, where she was active in several organizations, including the Deaconess Board and the Cathedral Choir. She served in many capacities and never failed to serve with dedication and commitment. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss are her husband, Charlie J. Forbes Sr.; three sisters, Edna V. Lawton, Roanoke, Elizabeth Manns, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Mary Mitchell, Meade, W.Va.; three brothers-in-law, John T. HANIS, Irene T., 70, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, November 27, 1996. She was originally from Kansas, had lived in New Jersey, and had resided in Roanoke for the past 13 years. She was a retired office manager and a active member at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, where she served as a eucharist minister and often served as greeter at the church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Mark J. and Judy Hanis, Maywood, N.J.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan A. and Robert Feltey, Salem; brothers, Larry Grosko and Raymond Grosko; sisters, Marceline Lugar and Betty Thomasovich; grandsons, Robert and Chris. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 2, 1996, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the John M. LILES, Charlotte, (``Faye""), 59, of Vinton, passed Thursday, November 28, 1996, at her home. She was the widow of William Herbert (``Billy"") Liles. Mrs. Liles was an employee of Kroger Company, Vinton, in the Deli for 16 years. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was the loving mother of daughter and son-in-law, Sherry (``Shey"") Liles and Danny L. Nunley of Roanoke; two sons, Keith N. Liles and Kerry B. Liles of Vinton; one stepson and daughter-in-law, William H. (``Chip"") Liles II and Deborah Liles of Roanoke; three brothers and sisters-in-law, E. Bruce and Janice Clarke, and Gerald (``Skippy"") and Doris Clark of Chamblissburg and Lawrence (``Brud"") and Betty Clark of Roanoke County; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Melva (``Peggy"") Hylton of Franklin County, Myrtle and Henry Hall of Roanoke and Joyce (``Jene"") Castelli of Vinton; a number of nieces and nephews, and four special pals, B. MANGELS, Dean William, 37, of Saddlebrook, N.J., formerly of Blue Ridge, Va., died Tuesday, November 19, 1996. Funeral services were held in New Jersey.

MAY, Mildred Walker, 83, of Roanoke, went to with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 1996. She was pre ceded in death by her husband, Oren (``Sam"") May. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Ronnie Ransom; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Candis Yeatts; special daughter and husband, Gail and Mark Sparks, and their children, Leslie and Joseph Sparks; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Shelby Powell; stepson, Jimmy Mays; 10 stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Garnett Dickerson; very special friends, Teri and Glenn McCormick, and special niece and nephew, Nancy Light and Bobby Ratcliff. Also surviving are a number of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 1996, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel, with the Rev. Edgar Hoover and the Rev. McNEIL, John Robert, (``Bob""), 87, of Glade Hill, died Friday, November 29, 1996. Mr. McNeil began his railroad career at the F&P Railroad and retired as conduct or from the N&W Railroad with 47 years service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Perdue McNeil; and son, J.W. McNeil. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Donald E., Sr. and Frances B. McNeil, Boones Mill; grandchildren, Donald E., Jr. and Sheila McNeil, Mary and Wendell Flora, David F. McNeil; two special friends, Diane and Ethan Brown, John R. and Barbara McNeil; six great-grandchildren, Robert, Donnie, Heidi, John, David, and Libbie McNeil; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Perdue and Ila Jane Shepherd; one brother-in-law, Benjamin Perdue. MILTON, James M., (``Mert""), 88, of Estero, Fla., died in Florida on Wednesday, November 27, 1996. He was a former active member and deacon at Grandin Court Baptist Church, a former American Viscose employee and a former Roanoke Valley Realtor. He was a past master of Virginia Heights Masonic Lodge, where he also was a 50-year member. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Florence Pedigo Milton, Estero, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Allen and Anabel Milton, and granddaughter, Anna Stephen Milton, all of Charlotte, N.C.; grandson, James Andrew Milton, Lilburn, Ga.; stepgrandson, Michael Boatright, Jonesboro, Ga.; brother, Cole K. Milton, Tazwell, and sister, Corene M. Smith, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Robert Hamner officiating. MOORE, Mary Dobbins, 69, of Radford, passed away Thursday, November 28, 1996, at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem. Born in Radford on September 7, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Luey Fuqua and Mattie Florence Dobbins. She retired after 45 years of service with the New River Industries in Radford, and she was a member of the Ge thsemane Baptist Church in Radford. Surviving are her husband, Raymond Clifford Moore; two brothers, Melvin R. Dobbins of Radford and Ralph L. Dobbins of Christiansburg; one sister, Mrs. Lucille D. Newman of Hillsville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 1, 1996 at 2 p.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. She was employed by Tultex for 43 years, a member of Belmont Christian Church and the Loyal Berean Sunday School Class for 45 years. Surviving are her husband, Hannon W. REYNOLDS, Howard Brooks, Sr., 86, of Austinville, passed away Thursday, November 28, 1996, in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was born in Pulaski County, the son of the late Ewell Branson Sr. and Maude Coleman Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was retired from the Millwald Barber Shop, and was a member of the Austinville Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as Deacon for many years. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Ewell, Nick, and Deck Reynolds; and three sisters, Emma Archer, Sue Akers, and Mattie Shelton. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nellie Kirby Reynolds of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and C. R. Taylor of Max Meadows; three sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Jr. and Audrey Reynolds of Route 3, Wytheville, Jimmy and Rosa Lee Reynolds of Max Meadows, Robert and Fay Reynolds of Austinville; four sisters, Ethel Crockett of Max Meadows, Rachel Cline, Kathryn Thompson, both of Wytheville, Dorothy Richenbacher of Manheim, Pa.; two brothers, Eldridge Reynolds of Austinville, Billy Reynolds of Max Meadows. SIMPKINS, Louise Frances, 74, of Radford, died Friday, November 29, 1996, in a Shawsville nursing home. Surviving are two sisters, Jo Ann Farmer of Pulaski and Betty DeVilbiss of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Albert H. Simpkins of Radford and Thomas J. Simpkins of Woods Cross Roads, Va.; three half brothers, William Ward Simpkins, Lee Simpkins and Ralph Simpkins of Radford; a half sister, Elenor Sue Speed of Christiansburg, and a stepsister, Betty Ratcliffe of Radford. TAYLOR, Rebecca Ruth Melton, 85, of Galax, died Tuesday, November 26, 1996, in Laurel Meadows Nursing Home. Mrs. Taylor was born in Bristol, Va., on May 16, 1911, to Rev. Charles Melton and Flora Bell Pope Melton. She was preceded in death by her husban d, John Britton Taylor Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Ann Pope Taylor, Galax; one son, John Britton Taylor, Jr., Galax; three grandsons, Richard Lee Taylor, Brian Kelly Taylor and Chad Dean Taylor; one step-granddaughter, Felicia Ann Barron, and three great-grandsons. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday from the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don Nation officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Vale United Methodist Church Cemetery. URQUHART, Jane Kirkpatrick, 77, of Richmond, died Thursday, November 28, 1996. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Kirkpatrick, and is survived by her husband, Anselm B. Urquhart; sister-in-law, Mrs. David W. Kirkpatrick; two nephews, Robert D. Kirkpatrick of Richmond and David W. Kirkpatrick Jr. of Fairfax, and a niece, Betsey G. Kirkpatrick of Milford, Mass. Mrs. Urquhart graduated from Gunston Hall in Washington, D.C., attended the University of Alabama, and graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1942. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond, the Country Club of Virginia, the Tuckahoe Womans Club and the Virginia Museum Council. She was the first President of the Thomas Jefferson Junior Womans Club. Mrs. Urquhart rests at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, Richmond. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond. WALTERS, Delbert Keen, 83, of Check, died at his home on Thursday, November 28, 1996. WEBSTER, Margaret Elizabeth, 92, of Culpeper, died Thursday, November 28, 1996, in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was born in Virginia on March 23, 1904, daughter of the late D. C. Huddleston and Addie Dickerson Huddleston. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church. She was the wife of the late Hobart Webster. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Marshall Gayheart, Culpeper; grandchildren, Andy and Tim Gayheart, Culpeper, Steve Gayheart, St. Petersburg, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Wheadon was successful in retail management with J. Riggins, Inc., and Maurices, Inc. He was a graduate of Blacksburg High School, Class of 1987. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Linda Early Hypes and Billy Hypes, Blacksburg; his father, Hubert George Wheadon Sr., Maryland; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Shane Graham, Blacksburg; a brother, Hubert George Wheadon Jr., Laurel, Md.; his companion, Lloyd Bobby ``Buck'' Hall Jr., Roanoke; his maternal grandmother, Minnie Early, Blacksburg; two nieces, Briana Nichole Graham, Blacksburg and Linda Jeanette Wheadon, Mt.
