He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Secrist of Salem. He graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Va. Western Community College. He is employed by General Electric.
The couple will reside in Salem
Duff-Stanley
Beth Ann Duff and Alan Dean Stanley are engaged and planning to be married on March 29, 1997 in Roanoke. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer D. Duff of Roanoke. She was graduated from Cave Spring High School and Radford University and is employed by Roanoke County Schools. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Stanley of Roanoke. He was graduated from Cave Spring High School and Virginia Tech. He is employed by Atlantic Mutual Companies

Dr. and Mrs. Ronald R. Oetgen, of Salem, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Catherine Oetgen, to Bennett Brian Grimmett, both of Columbus, Ohio. He is the son of Mrs. Shirley H. Grimmett and the late Mr. Grimmett of Amherst, Ohio.
Lauren, a graduate of Wittenberg University, is Program Manager for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Ben, a graduate of The Ohio State University, is a Senior Engineer for the Ashland Chemical Company.

Mrs. Judith B. Walden is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Julie Michelle, to Bret Alan Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil J. Rogers of Williamsport, PA.
