EDIBLE, WEARABLE BUS FARE COLLECTED TODAY

There's still no such thing as a free lunch, but a can of food or an item of clothing will get you a free ride on a Blacksburg Transit bus today.

Items are being collected for The Christmas Store, a local nonprofit charity that gives qualified families the opportunity to get Christmas gifts for their immediate kin at no charge.

Just drop a hat, scarf or can of beans in the collection bag on the bus rather than paying your fare or showing an ID card and the ride's free.
