BLACKSBURG REZONING Q AND A TO BE ON TV

Blacksburg Mayor Roger Hedgepeth and town Planning Director Adele Schirmer will answer citizen questions tonight during a televised discussion of the town's proposed zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan rewrite.

The event, sponsored by the Blacksburg Neighborhood Federation, will be on Blacksburg cable Channel 2, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Viewers will be able to call with questions during the forum and hear them answered immediately.

"Our goal is to clear up confusion about technical and policy issues as well as provide the town with feedback in what people think about the zoning and comprehensive plan proposal," said Tom Sherman, a member of the neighborhood group's steering committee.

A Town Council vote on the proposals is not expected until early next year.
