         The real estate tax rate in the town of Pulaski is 34 cents per $100 
      of assesed value. The personal property tax rate is 74 cents per $100 of
      assesed value. The number were reversed in a chart of New River Valley 
      tax rates published in the Thursday Current.


TAX DAY

Real estate, personal property and other local taxes are due today in localities across the New River Valley. Real estate taxes are collected twice a year; personal property tax is generally collected once.

Here's how the tax rates and estimated collections break down in the four counties, selected major towns and the city of Radford. All tax rates are per $100 of assessed value. Town residents pay taxes to both the town and county governments; city residents pay only to the city.
