EXTRADITION SOUGHT IN 3-YEAR-OLD BURGLARY

The suspect in a three-year-old Blacksburg burglary case involving more than $125,000 in property taken from a home has been arrested in Florida, town police said.

Monica Frydrych, 31, was arrested Nov. 26 in Palm Beach, Fla., on suspicion of burglary and is awaiting extradition proceedings, according to Blacksburg police.

Lt. Bruce Bradbery said Frydrych is wanted here in connection with an Aug. 13, 1993, burglary where jewelry valued at an estimated $72,805 and silver valued at $53,100 was taken from a home. None of the property was recovered.
