Alldredge-Miller
Ann Marie Miller and David Wayne Alldredge were married November 2, 1996, in Thomas Road Baptist Church, with Dr. Jerry Falwell officiating. The reception was held at West Lynchburg Baptist Reception Hall.
Matron of honor was Julie Barbour, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Deana Bryan, Becky Hundley, Melissa Moss and Elizabeth Meadows.
The best man was Don Alldredge, f ather of the groom. Ushers were Jim Alldredge, brother of the groom; Jeff Cunningham, Scott Booth, cousin of the groom; and Tig North. Trumpeter was Paul Miller, brother of the bride.
The bride wore a white satin reembroidered organza gown with trim appliques, fully adorned with sequins and pearls. It features a sweetheart neckline, open keyhole back with pearl strands, long sleeves and full royal train. She carried a bouquet of antique rose lilies, accented with white roses.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Miller of Madison Heights, Va. She is a graduate of Lynchburg Christian Academy and Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va. She is employed by Drs. Rapoport and Kynn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Donald Alldredge of Lynchburg. He is a graduate of Lynchburg Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Va., and Advanced Technology Institute in Virginia Beach, Va. He is employed by Paul S. Miller, Contractor.
The newlyweds are living in Lynchburg, Va., since their wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Cooper-Crigger
Tammy Jane Crigger and Donald Glenn Cooper were united in marriage Saturday, August 31st, 1996, during a candlelit ceremony, at Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. J.P. Hale officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride was escorted to the alter by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Maids of honor were Kim Dalton of Pulaski and Paula Cooper of Greenville, Texas, both friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Debbie Bland of Christiansburg and Missy Price of McCoy, both sisters of the groom; Vickie Cromer of Christiansburg; Phyllis Churchwell of Radford, and Rhonda Quesenberry of Pulaski, all friends of the bride.
Best man was Randy White of Christiansburg, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Gary Cooper of Narrows and Mike Cooper of Blacksburg, both brothers of the groom; Bill Eversole and Charlie Crigger of Pulaski, both brothers of the bride; David Graham of McCoy and Scott Welcher of Shawsville, both friends of the groom.
Junior bridesmaids were Kasey Dalton of Pulaski and Olivia Black of Greenville, Texas, both friends of the bride. Ringbearer was Michael Cooper of Christiansburg, nephew of the groom. Guestbook and program attendant was Dawn Crigger, sister-in-law of the bride. Vocalist was Gus Kitchen; sound director was Kathleen Hill. Selections included ``You Are So Beautiful To Me'', ``Always and Forever'', and ``Here and Now''.

The nine-tier heart shaped wedding cake was made by Cindy Mabry. A special thank you to Aileen Crigger, mother of the bride, for all of the floral arrangements and decorations she made. Faus-Dickson
Roberta Gale Dickson and Clyde Joseph Faus were married December 7, 1996 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee at the Sugarland Wedding Chapel. The reception was held at a private chalet in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
The maid of honor was Michelle McGhee, the bride's daughter. The best man was Paul Allen Dickson, the bride's son.
The bride is a daughter of Marie Cole of Roanoke. She is employed by VA Appareal in Rocky Mount. The groom is a son of Mildred Faus. He is employed by Advance Distribution Center.
The newlyweds will live in Rocky Mount, Virginia, after the wedding trip in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Valerie Kanney and Casey Ficklin were married October 6, 1996, with the Rev. Martin Begay officiating. She is the daughter of Rev. Douglas and Penny Kanney of Christiansburg. The newlyweds will live in Osaka, Japan.
McDaniel-Howerton
Holly Beth Howerton and Bryant Alton McDaniel were married October 26, 1996 in Glade Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Phillip Ayers officiated. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the service.
The maid of honor was Heidi Virginia Howerton, sister of the bride. The best man was Scott Marshall, the groom's cousin. The ushers were Steve Gross, the groom's cousin, and Lynn Smith, the bride's uncle.
The bride wore a white short sleeved gown with a V-neckline, decorated in pearls, and a long flowing train. She carried a bouquet of white roses and a white mixture of freesia and carnations.
The bride is a daughter of Michael and Pamela Howerton of Roanoke County, VA. She is a June, 1996 graduate of Northside High School and is attending Virginia Western Community College.
The groom is a son of Sonny and Daphne McDaniel of Blue Ridge, VA. He is a June, 1995 graduate of Liberty High School in Bedford and is employed by United Parcel Service.
The newlyweds will live in Blue Ridge.

The groom is the son of Danny Morgan and Susan Langford of Bedford, Va. He is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret Johnson of Moneta, Va. and Mrs. Vera Southerland of Bedford, Va.

She is employed by Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
The groom is a graduate of Liberty High School in Bedford, VA and a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed by G.J. Hopkins, Inc. as a Mechanical Project Manager.
The couple honeymooned in Grand Cayman, B.W.I., and reside in Roanoke, VA.
Patton-Phillips
Traci Ellen Phillips and Robbie Dan Patton were united in marriage Saturday, December 7, 1996 at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. The 7 o'clock candlelight ceremony was officiated by Rev. William Jackson.
The bride is the daughter of Ronald Phillips and the late Shirley Phillips of Radford. She is a graduate of Radford High School and Virginia Tech. The bride is employed by Baltimore City Public Schools as a third grade teacher.
The groom is the son of Fred W. and Julie Harding of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Canton High School. The groom is employed by Electronic Data Systems in Washing ton, D.C. and is in the Air National Guard.
Maid of honor was Wendy Warren, friend of the bride, of Charlottesville. Bridesmaids were Teresa Boggess of Herndon, Virginia and Crystal King of Christiansburg, both friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Krystal Harding, sister of the groom, of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania. Flower girl was Sara Caroline Link of Radford.
Best man was Fred A. Harding, friend of the groom, of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. Groomsmen were Brian Phillips, brother of the bride, of Radford, and Terry Seibel, friend of the groom, of Alexandria, Virginia. Ring bearer was Brandon Creger of Dublin.

After a honeymoon trip to San Diego, California, the couple will reside in Columbia, Maryland.

Flowergirls were Amber Crook and Brittany Shaver, cousins of the bride. Best man was Ronnie Perdue, father of the groom. Ushers were Richie Bolton, friend of the groom, Jason Gearheart, stepbrother of the groom, and Bradley King, brother of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Kristie and Samantha King.
The bride is a daughter of Will and Nancy King of Bent Mountain. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Va. Western Comm. College and is employed by Telebrands. The bridegroom, son of Ronnie Perdue of Salem and Patricia Perdue of Roanoke, is a graduate of Glenver High School and Va. Western Comm. College. He is employed by the City of Salem Department of Fire & Emergency Services. The newlyweds will live in Bent Mountain after the wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tn.

On November 23, 1996 at 6:00 p.m., Tia La-Shaun Brown and Michael Harvard Spencer were united in marriage at High Street Baptist Church. Reverend Noel C. Taylor and Rev. Bill Whittaker officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride's parents hosted the wedding reception in the ballroom of the Hotel Roanoke.
The maid of honor was Tammi Brown, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Andrea Brown, friend of the bride; Paula James, friend of the bride; Tonya Johnson, cousin of the bride; Sheri Jones, friend of the bride; Sonya Montas, friend of the bride; Leigh Spencer, sister of the groom; and Tanya Toliver, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Natisha Ross, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Harvard L. Spencer, Jr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Melvin Brown, friend of the groom; Eric Burrell, cousin of the bride; Donald Conners, friend of the groom; James Lewis, friend of the groom; Brandon Martin, friend of the groom; Thomas Rivers, friend of the groom; and Ramon Sutherland, friend of the groom. Jackson A. Willis, cousin of the groom, served as the ringbearer.
Ushers included Rick Smith, cousin of the bride; Ty Smith, cousin of the bride; and Jayson Spencer, cousin of the groom. Marguerite Johnson, aunt of the bride; Donna Burton and Lisa Spencer, cousins of the groom, served as hostesses.
Wedding music was performed by Sara Holland and Clarice Toliver, aunt of the bride. Solos were given by Curtis Brown, cousin of the bride; Geneva Brown, cousin of the bride; Bertha Burrell, aunt of the bride; and Alvin Smith, uncle of the bride. Honorary guests were Helen Belcher, cousin of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Payton Burrell, uncle and aunt of the bride; and Patricia Smith, aunt of the bride.

Tia is the daughter of William and Patricia Brown of Troutville, Virginia. She is a 1990 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School. She graduated cum laude from James Madison University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Political Science. In May of 1996, she graduated from Radford University with a Master of Arts degree in English. She is employed by the State of West Virginia as an Educational Outreach Counselor for the Talent Search Program.
Michael is the son of Harvard and Rhema Spencer of Columbia, Maryland. He is a 1989 graduate of Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Maryland. He graduated from James Madison University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. In May of 1996, he graduated from the Washington and Lee University School of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree. He is employed as a federal law clerk for the United States District Court in West Virginia.
After their honeymoon in England, the couple will reside in Beckley, West Virginia.
Stout-Shelton
Tia Denise Shelton and William Ray Stout, Jr., were married August 10, 1996, at 6:30 in the evening in a garden ceremony at the home of Gary and Sheila Kaylor, uncle and aunt of the groom, in Powhatan, Va. Dr. Joseph Ivey officiated. A reception immediately followed the ceremony.
Kristen Ham was maid of honor, and Beth Ballou of Roanoke, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. The groom's father, William R. Stout, Sr., served as best man, and Bryan Neal was groomsman. Ryan Gerow, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald W. Swindell of Portsmouth and Mr. Ronald P. Shelton of Norfolk. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Stout of Roanoke. He is the grandson of Erma Stout and the late B. Fred Stout and Robert L. Kaylor and the late Mary C. Kaylor, all of Roanoke.
After a honeymoon trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple are making their home in Richmond. The bride and groom are graduates of Radford University.

Bridesmaids were Debbie Harris, Angela Bryant, Sheila Hale, Tangie Callahan, and Debi Firebaugh. Jr. bridesmaid was Nikki Gibson. Flowergirl was Ranndi Carter Grubbs. Best man was Tim Underwood. Ushers were Kevin Ferguson, Sal Ambrosio, Kenny Carroll, Raymond Chitwood and Todd Smith. Ringbearer was Preston Chitwood. Jr. ushers were Ryan Chitwood, Jacob Funk and Stephen Funk. Special piano music by Polly Hubble of Roanoke. Soloists were Tangie Callahan of Georgia and Todd Smith of Roanoke. The guestbook was attended by Cindy Hylton. The wedding was directed by Angie Apgar.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Shelton C. Smith of Salem. She is a graduate of Salem High School and World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Oh. The bride is employed by Nancy's Hair Salon. The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Estle A. Taylor of Salem and the late Mr. Estle A. Taylor, is a graduate of National Business College & ECPI in Roanoke. He is employed by UPS. The newlyweds will live in Salem after the wedding trip to Freeport Bahamas and Garden City Beach, S.C.

Wanda Robertson Miller and David Eugene Thiem were married September 10, 1996 at the Candlelight Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wanda is the daughter of Mary and Irvin Robertson of Roanoke and a former graduate of William Byrd High School and Longwood College. She is the General Manager of Hilldale Country Club in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. David, son of Helen and Stanley Thiem of Hoffman Estates, served with the United States Navy and is currently self-employed.
After a wedding trip to Phoenix, Arizona, the couple is residing in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Weaver-Carter
Helen James Carter of Vinton and Curtis Winfred Weaver of Roanoke were married November 30, 1996, in Vinton Baptist Church. Dr. William Ross officiated. A reception followed in the church social hall.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her son, Jim Carter. The matron of honor was Jeanne Carter Leftwich. Bridesmaids were Ginger Via of Roanoke, Evelyn Kitts of Florida, and Effie Hughes of Georgia. Brittany Hayes of Vinton, was flower girl. Jeremy Leftwich and Richard Weaver, II, were ring bearers.
The best man was David Weaver of Roanoke. Ushers were Richard Weaver, John Leftwich and Gregory Hayes.

The wedding music was performed by Chris Monroe and Lois Smith. Laura Betty Wagner directed the ceremony. Serving at the reception were Margaret Lyon Weaver, Libby Weaver, Teresa Weaver and Cheri Hughes of Georgia and Mildred Scott.
The bride wore a cream silk and lace ballerina length dress and carried a bouquet of red roses. After a honeymoon trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Vinton, Virginia.
