AVOID PARKWAY THIS MORNING

Parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway were closed Sunday because of icy conditions and were not expected to reopen in time for this morning's commuter traffic.

The parkway is closed from U.S. 221 to U.S. 220 in Roanoke and Floyd counties, and the section from U.S. 24 to U.S. 220 in Bedford and Roanoke counties is also closed.
