Valley Metro usually experiences a surge in business in November and December, according to General Manager Steve Mancuso. November was the bus company's best in more than a decade.
Mancuso said Thanksgiving came later in the month this year, leaving people fewer shopping days until Christmas. "It worked out well for us," he said, and "the weather didn't hurt." Mancuso said he expects ridership to drop after Christmas, then to pick up again in the spring.
