PULASKI OFFICIAL TAKES TENN. JOB

Pulaski Assistant Town Manager Rob Lyons has resigned and will become the first assistant city manager for Murfreesboro, Tenn., starting Jan. 6.

Lyons joined Pulaski's administrative staff in July 1990 as assistant to Town Manager Don Holycross. After Holycross left to become manager in Atlantic Beach, N.C., in January 1993, Lyons served as acting town manager until Tom Combiths was named to succeed Holycross in May 1993. Since then, Lyons' title has been assistant town manager.

Lyons was not among the more than 140 applicants who applied for the Pulaski town manager job in 1993. He told a council member at the time he felt he was not ready for that job.
