Montgomery County is looking for people to serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Transportation Safety Commission.
Four seats on the Parks and Recreation Commission, representing Districts E, F, G, and at-large, are open. Members serve three-year terms and advise the county's Parks and Recreation Department in developing leisure time activities for residents of all ages. Meetings are at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.
The Transporation and Safety Commission gathers local input about highway safety problems. Meetings are quarterly. Four three-year seats are available.
