WINE SOCIETY'S HOLIDAY TASTING THURSDAY EVENING

The Roanoke Valley Wine Society's annual Holiday Tasting Party, postponed because of poor road conditions during last week's unexpected first taste of snow, is now set for 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hidden Valley Country Club in Salem.

The gala, featuring a variety of sparkling wines and red wines and an expanded hors d'oeuvres selection, will cost $15 per person. Membership is not required, but reservations are needed. Call 389-8146.
