SEMINAR FOCUSES ON EUROPEAN BUSINESSES

James Hart, who recently accompanied Gov. George Allen's trade mission to Europe, will conduct a seminar to teach Virginia businesses to market their products in eastern Europe.

Entitled "The New Europe," the seminar will be held Thursday from 1-5 p.m. at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, 1872 Pratt Drive, Blacksburg.

Hart, president of the Volga-James Company of Virginia, will provide an overview of the economies of the region, discuss how the U.S. will expand business interests and markets, and help business owners understand how they can begin to develop ties to the region. The Volga-James Company of Virginia creates business and cultural ties with eastern Europe and helps bridge cultural and language differences.

The cost of the seminar is $50 per reservation. The seminar is sponsored by Industrial Resource Services, a provider of services for business and industry. Call Steven Smith, 231-6808, for information.
