on. TAP dedicated its new Head Start Center on Shenandoah Avenue in

Northwest Roanoke Thursday. The center - called the Brand Hardin

Sims Child Development Center - is in the building where TAP started

its Head Start program in 1965. The building was the only thing

spared by a 1989 fire that destroyed much of TAP's offices. The

$900,000 renovation was funded by local and federal money. color.
