FLOYD PICKUP WRECK FATAL

A 37-year-old Check man died early Sunday when he lost control of his pickup truck on U.S. 221.

State police said Terry Amos Peters died at the scene of the accident, which was about three-tenths of a mile north of Virginia 642.

Peters' was driving south when he ran off the right side of the road about 2:45 a.m., came back on the roadway and crossed both lanes before hitting the opposite embankment, police said. Peters, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck.
