* Christiansburg Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. today in the Municipal Building, 100 E. Main St. The council will hold a public hearing on an amendment to its zoning laws to allow the Christian Growth Center Church, at 1850 Electric Way near Hubbell Lighting Inc., to have a day care center. Council will also hear a report on a phone cooperative's request to use town property to erect a cellular telephone antenna.

* The Montgomery County Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room 327 of the Montgomery County Courthouse, Main and Franklin streets in Christiansburg. The commission is scheduled to make a recommendation on The Riner Group's town house proposal for the rural hamlet of Riner.
