ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Roanoke Valley governments issued building permits worth more than $8 million last month.

Roanoke recorded selling 157 permits for construction valued at $3,744,855, Roanoke County had 149 permits worth $3,334,450, and Salem reported 54 permits with a value of $925,633. The largest permit in Roanoke County was $124,296 for a new Masonic Lodge at Cave Spring. Salem's largest permit was $120,000 for a warehouse.
